ABOUT The original Underground was formed way back at the dawn of our Freshman year at Santiago High School. We were a group of friends that gathered under one of the overhangs of the school building at lunchtime. And hence, our name was bestowed upon us. We were known as the Undergrounders. After high school, cosplay became a great excuse for us to all continue to hang out together. We cosplayed together casually for a few years, but after watching the Anime Expo Masquerade together, we all decided that we wanted to hit the stage! With that, Underground Cosplay was born; we made our masquerade debut at Fanime 2005 and there's been no looking back since. Ever since our inception, our focus has always been producing high quality masquerade entries. We have earned high honors for both performance and craftsmanship, but more important than awards to us is for our skits to be entertaining and memorable. There's nothing we love more than a happy, cheering masquerade audience! Thanks for visiting our site, and we hope you enjoy our performances!
